Nursing through time school resource
School resource
Nursing through time is a series of 12 cards which chart developments in nursing from the last 150 years, using key facts and historical images, many taken from the RCN archives.
This resource includes a special focus on the founders of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole.
Nursing through time is for pupils at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and is also relevant for the Medicine through Time GCSE curriculum and Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
To accompany the resource, we have created teacher notes and activities.
