Defending Agenda for Change – Is there an alternative?

The current Fair Pay for Nursing campaign is raising questions about the suitability of Agenda for Change (AfC) in rewarding nurses fairly.
We are asking whether there is a better alternative and what would moving away from AfC pay and terms of service mean for nursing? Would it be better or worse?
Pay and conditions of service play a crucial role in recruitment and retention. This session will draw on research from Pay Review Body reports around reward systems.
Aimed at those who are interested in industrial relations and pay and reward issues, participants will gain a better understanding about the NHS pay campaign, the concept of equal pay, and the importance of terms and conditions of service.
