In 2018 the NMC launched new standards for pre-registration nursing programmes alongside new standards for student supervision and assessment.
To prepare the nursing workforce of the future, fit to meet the challenges facing healthcare providers now and going forwards, many additional skills and competencies will be incorporated into pre-registration programmes commencing from September this year. This session will give an overview of the most significant changes and provide an opportunity for you to consider the implications of these changes for your future practice as students, as newly qualified nurses and as the registered nursing workforce of the future.
