Aiming to break down the walls and barriers to allow an insight into the complex role and field of prison nursing, this event will allow people to see the vast clinical sphere this field of nursing encompasses whilst promoting learning and career opportunities. 

Patients from custodial settings reach all aspects of health care from ITU, A&E, community on release and their complexities come with them. Gaining an understanding of any patients background will only improve care moving forward and by a way of understanding custody this should break down some of the barriers to care and understanding often seen.

The event is aimed at all nursing staff and students who may have an interest in, or already work within custody settings or within secondary care or the community.
