This event aims to showcase how the Children’s Hospital for Wales has improved services for children and young people (CYP) presenting in crisis requiring support from mental health services.

The importance of building links between health and CAMHS will be discussed in relation to improving the patient experience. We will also look at how the patient journey has been improved throughout the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Delegates will leave with an understanding of:

  • why there is a need to improve the MH services for CYP
  • the importance of building links between health and MH
  • current legislation and policy for children and young people with MH.
