Joanne Bosanquet is Deputy Chief Nurse for Public Health England with a special interest in coaching and mentoring nurses at all stages of their careers.
A mentor for the first cohort of the Council of Dean's Student Leadership Programme, Joanne was matched with Kelly-Hellen Hitchcock, then a second-year student nurse.

In this informal session, Joanne and Kelly will talk openly about their shared leadership journey, about building relationships and lifelong learning. Joanne will share her own career, experiences and specialist interest in public health and professional nursing practice. Kelly will describe how she has been inspired to change her approach to nursing as a result of meeting Joanne, about learning to be politically aware and discovering that student nurses can be influential too.

Joanne and Kelly invite you to join them in this conversation, where they will answer your questions and tell you how things don't always turn out as you expect. They will reveal some of their top tips on how you can become the amazing nurse you always wanted to be and why they both believe that the world's your oyster.
