Job evaluation: What it is and how it works

This event will cover what members need to know about Job Evaluation (JE).
Most pay structures are now underpinned by JE to ensure that the principle of equal pay for work of equal value is delivered. This event will:
- explain what JE is
- how it is designed, and how it relates to pay
- focus on an example of the differences between AFC Bands 4, 5 and 6 roles
- help representatives in their work with members who are appealing against their JE outcome.
We will focus on the JE system in the NHS although the content will be applicable across most JE schemes.
