Keeping up with the evidence

This session will look at how nurses and midwives keep up with the vast volume of research published every day to ensure that their practice is based on best evidence.
The session will consider the central role of evidence in professionalism and how to access trustworthy summaries of important research findings. It will describe the partnership between the National Institute of Health Research Dissemination Centre and the Nursing Times and how this can help nurses and midwives with quality improvement, practice assurance and revalidation.
