Keynote speaker: Tom and Nic Ray

22 May 2019, 13:00 - 13:45

  • Main Hall, ACC Liverpool , Kings Dock , Liverpool Waterfront , Liverpool , L3 4FP
Twenty years ago Tom Ray had a delayed diagnosis of sepsis which resulted in quadruple amputations.

In the same month Nic, his wife, gave birth to their second child. Tom, Nic and Pippa Bagnell (their clinician) formed Resilience + Co in 2017 with two main aims: to raise awareness of sepsis and to inspire people to build their own resilience. Their talk will include an honest account of life as a quadruple amputee, the challenge of being a full-time carer and a mother of two young children, and a call for immediate action by all nursing staff.
