Brooke is a third-year adult nursing student at Derby University Chesterfield Campus, her partner Dan is a transgender man who is four years into his transition. Their aim is to start a conversation about transgender patients and their experiences within the NHS, normalising terminology and hoping to create allies out of healthcare staff to improve relations between LGBTQ+ people and the treatment they receive.
