Mary Seacole Lecture: time for a polite revolution
Evidence from the Equality and Human Rights Commission and other agencies highlights the profound impact that race and ethnicity has on health inequalities and nursing careers. When combined with factors including class, disability, gender, part-time working, the picture is stark with limited progress being made. This fringe event explores how the nursing profession can generate the change needed to become a truly inclusive profession that is unafraid to tackle the tough issues that impact on it. Delivered in partnership with the CNO’s BME Strategic Advisory Group and other national experts, the session promises to be lively and impactful.
