Mental health nursing workforce of the future

An event is to promote engagement with Forum activities and share ongoing work from Parliament to frontline.
Mental health (MH) nursing has an image problem. Recruitment is a significant problem, as is workforce retention. The Mental Health Forum is embarking on a season of projects to support the MH nursing workforce, and in this event we aim to:
• outline new work led by Lord Willis and Health Education England on creating a sustainable MH workforce, building on a recent Foundation of Nursing Study to define, reinforce and develop the roles of MH nurses• gather members’ views and insights into how to address the long-term needs of the MH workforce.
