Mona Grey Lecture: The perception of nursing

The RCN is working in partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer for England, who is sponsoring a programme of work involving a range of Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs) in England, on improving the perception of Nursing and Midwifery. The programme will incorporate new and existing RCN work and will be accompanied by a campaign developed in partnership with ALBs and other stakeholders that will showcase the achievements and wide career opportunities within nursing and midwifery. The aim is to support recruitment and retention of nursing and midwifery staff. Central to the programme is the work of the newly created network of nurse and midwifery ambassadors.
