Novel psychoactive substances: A threat to health care services
22 May 2019, 14:15 - 15:00
Novel psychoactive substance (NPS) misuse is rapidly developing into a major public health concern, especially with the recent reports of increase in morbidity and mortality associated with fentanyl, Xanax and spice misuse. These novel drugs are impacting on the lives and wellbeing of children all the way up to the elderly.
This interactive fringe event will present the latest evidence on how to manage NPS presentations as well as exploring common pitfalls. This workshop will focus on shared learning and disseminating information regarding safer practice, and we want to hear your stories!
