To raise the profile and reputation of nursing in the adult social care sector, promoting understanding about the contribution that Registered Nurses make to national health and social care agendas.
Using our newly published statement articulating the role of the 42,000 Registered Nurses in the adult social care sector we’ll highlight the distinct expertise which:
- enables individuals with care and support needs to live positively in their own homes
- embodies nursing knowledge and skills within a social model of care
- impacts on the participation in social and community life of people they work with.
