  • Hosted by: RCN Children and Young People Staying Healthy Forum
This seminar will focus on the national strategy for the prevention of serious accidental injuries in England published by the Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents in 2018.

The national strategy has been informed by evidence and public health data. The key messages for nurses are transferable to all health, social care settings, work place and educational environments. Data will be presented on the burden of serious injuries to the economy including the cost to the NHS. Evidenced-based recommendations and the key role of nursing staff working in all settings with service users of all ages and their families and carers, will be discussed.
