Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC): An accessible co-ordinated support service for victims/survivors and families

The frequency of sexual violence and abuse is greater than people think and crosses the life span to include children, adults and the elderly.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness amongst nurses working with any or all of these age groups what a sexual assault referral centre (SARC) is; who can be referred; the referral process and the services and support that is available within the centre.
