Social media in nursing: influence and leadership

16 May 2023, 17:45 - 18:30

  • Syndicate 2, ground floor, The Brighton Centre, King's Road, Brighton, BN1 2GR
Hosted by: RCN Management and Leadership Forum

Collaboration: General Practice Nursing Forum

Social media is increasingly used by nursing students, and members of the RCN. However, there are many strongly held opinions regarding how it should be used by the profession in line with the NMC Code. This session will be an open forum where delegates can discuss with our panel how to use social media to maximise influence and leadership.

This session aims to:

  • support delegates to have the confidence and skills to influence and lead using social media.
  • Challenge perceptions regarding how social media can be positively used in nursing
  • provide evidence of CPD for NMC revalidation through a reflective account.

This event, aimed at all delegates, will be quality assured by utilising both the NMC and RCN social media guidance.
