Student Programme: Starting a career in General Practice nursing

21 May 2019, 16:00 - 16:45

  • 1A, Level 2, ACC Liverpool , Kings Dock , Liverpool Waterfront , Liverpool , L3 4FP
  • Annie Winstanley GPN, Hollow Way Medical Centre, Oxford; RCN General Practice Nursing Forum
This workshop intends to bust the myth that General Practice Nursing is not a suitable first destination post for newly qualified registrants.
The GPN Committee will provide students, whether they have had a placement in General Practice or not, with the opportunity to talk to and ask questions from GPNs working in clinical, professional and educational areas of general practice nursing. Students will learn about the diverse nature of our role and will hear the journey of a new registrant who started their career in general practice. There will be practical support and guidance on writing your CV and top tips for interview techniques. We will signpost you on where to find and how to access courses relevant to new GPNs. So, come along and join us if you would like to find out more on a career in this exciting area of nursing.
