Supporting members with the RCN's Health Ability Passport

17 May 2023, 08:00 - 08:45

  • Room 1C, Ground Floor, The Brighton Centre, King's Road, Brighton, BN1 2GR
Hosted by: RCN Eastern Region

Collaboration: RCN Nursing Department, Employments Relations and Policy & Public; Membership Support Services

Health ability passports (also known as health passports or disability passports) are a recognised good practice approach to supporting employees with health or disability needs at work.

With sickness absence high in the health sector and evidence that members with health conditions may leave the workforce due to lack of support, the passport provides a means to support members to stay in work.

This event will launch new RCN guidance on the health ability passport. It will raise awareness of the RCN's health ability passport, what good practice looks like and empower attendees to advocate for themselves and colleagues with health or disability needs at work.

All delegates are welcome, but the event may be of particular interest to members with health or disability needs are work, RCN workplace representatives, line managers and nurses working in occupational health.
