As part of our year-long celebration of the Year of the Nurse, the Cheshire West branch is hosting a virtual workshop celebrating diversity in the nursing profession.
The event, which will take place via Microsoft Teams, will be hosted by Angela Simpson, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Chester. She will be in conversation with RCN Chief Executive Dame Donna Kinnair and North West Regional Director Estephanie Dunn.
Also on the agenda will be talks from:
- Eunice Simmons, Vice Chancellor of the University of Chester
- Head of Chester, Medical School Professor Elizabeth Mason-Whitehead on the life of Mary Seacole
- Gillian Martin, Nurse Practitioner / Practice Education Facilitator on the professional challenges faced by BAME nurses due to their ethnicity and race
