Bladders and bowels should be everyone’s business (one in seven people)

One in seven people will experience a bladder or bowel problem (sometimes both) over a lifetime. It could be you, a friend, or a patient.

In June 2021, the RCN launched online resources about bladder and bowel care, as well as providing advice on managing incontinence using the RCN Catheter and Bowel Guidance. These resources have been updated with information on why it's important to test urine, plus new guidelines on diagnosing urinary tract infections.
