Eyes right: Older people and driving

Aimed at ophthalmic and non-ophthalmic specialists, students and trained health care professionals, this session will help to raise awareness about how to identify sight threatening conditions in older people and provide guidance on accessing the right care at the right time for patients.

After the session, delegates will know how to identify ophthalmic conditions that cause sight-loss, understand the visual standards for driving, and advise on when a referral for further assistance should be made to social care or the DVLA.
