07 Jun 2022, 08:00 - 08:45

  • Alsh 1, Scottish Event Campus, Exhibition Way, Glasgow , G3 8YW
Hosted by: Greater Liverpool and Knowsley branch with the North West region and Playlist for Life.

Listening to music can help to improve the quality of life for a person living with dementia, whether it’s an old favourite or a song that reminds them of a special moment. ‘Playlist for Life’ deliver profound results and provide health care professionals with tools and training to harness the power of music for people with dementia.

This interactive session will explain the benefits of using personalised playlists to support those with dementia and how you can build and integrate them into your work.

You’ll hear inspiring stories about the powerful benefits music can bring in a care setting, how to identify the soundtrack to someone’s life, and how music can reduce the need for medication.
