Choose event information:
This free learning day has been organised by the RCN North Nottinghamshire branch, and will focus on dementia care.
Examining all things dementia related, there will be speakers from safeguarding, learning disability nurses, audiology and a variety of internal speakers from Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The aim is to improve your understanding and knowledge of dementia care in the 21st century by outlining the most common types of dementia, helping you understand the cause and symptoms of dementia, and understanding how to support people with dementia.
Better understanding of the needs of people with dementia (and the needs of their family/carers) across care settings can help them and us too, and this event will explore how this knowledge can be used to better support them and enhance their wellbeing whilst in our care.
To book your place, please email adele.bonsall@nhs.net.
PLEASE NOTE - refreshments will be provided, but attendees will have to make their own arrangements for lunch.
This event will be followed by the RCN North Nottinghamshire Annual General Meeting at 5pm. Unfortunately the first branch AGM was not quorate, which means not enough RCN members attended the meeting to elect a branch executive committee. RCN North Nottinghamshire members are urged to attend the AGM to secure the future of the branch.
You can find out more about the AGM here.
