THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
This session will be presented by Dee Holbrook, RCN West Midlands Officer, and will incorporate the branch AGM.
The overall principles of record-keeping, whether you are writing by hand or making entries to electronic systems, can be summed up by saying that anything you write or enter must be honest, accurate, non-offensive and must not breach patient confidentiality.
If you follow these four principles, your contribution to record-keeping will be invaluable when delivering safe patient care. During this session, the presenter will cover each of the principles in detail with working examples of both good and poor record keeping.
If you can attend one branch meeting a year, then please make it the AGM. Come along and help make a difference, by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch committee members.
Branch meetings provide opportunities for you to get involved in shaping the future of your branch, have your say on how the branch is run and learn more about the activities it undertakes.
And if you're interested in getting more involved, why not consider standing for one of the branch committee posts, which includes branch chair, secretary and treasurer?
Being a branch committee member is a great personal and professional development opportunity – you can find out more about the roles here.
If you want to put yourself forward for election, please email the regional administrator on westmidlands.region@rcn.org.uk. This will ensure that anyone who can't attend the meeting itself is still able to stand. Alternatively, you can put yourself forward at the meeting itself.
If you want more information, please call the RCN West Midlands Regional Office on 0121 450 4300.
If you're a new member and this is your first AGM, please come along and get involved. It’s a great way to meet local colleagues and other RCN members and influence the year ahead.
If you have any queries about this event, or want more information, please call the RCN West Midlands Regional Office on 0121 450 4300.
