Events terms and conditions
1. BACKGROUND
1.1 The RCN organises events that support members, health care professionals and nursing advocates in the promotion of nursing, learning and education, continued professional development and RCN organisational goals.

2. BOOKING
2.1 Event booking information can be found online at www.rcn.org.uk/events.
2.2 All bookings will be confirmed in writing.
2.3 The RCN reserves the right to refuse any booking at any time.
3. FEE
3.1 All fees are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
3.2 VAT (value added tax) is chargeable under the Value Added Tax Act 1994 and any similar replacement or additional tax levied (whether in the UK or any other jurisdiction).
3.3 The rate excluding and including VAT will be made clear when booking.
3.4 The event fee includes registration for the event, event materials and lunch/refreshments as advertised.
3.5 Fees do not include travel or accommodation unless specifically stated.
All delegate fees must be paid in full prior to the event. Places not fully paid risk being cancelled.
4. DISCOUNTS
4.1 Discounts are available on some events. Details can be found online at www.rcn.org.uk/events.
5. DELEGATE CANCELLATION
5.1 Cancellations received ten working days before the start of the event will be refunded, minus a 25% administration fee.
5.2 No refunds can be processed after this date.
5.3 Places can be substituted with the prior knowledge and agreement of the event organiser.
6. EVENT CHANGES & CANCELLATION
6.1 The RCN reserves the right to alter the content and timing of the programme or the occasional identity of the speakers.
6.2 On rare occasions it may be necessary to cancel or postpone the event for reasons beyond the control of the event organisers, including, without limitation, by reason of a Force Majeure event.
6.3 “Force Majeure Event” is any cause arising from acts, events, omissions or non-events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, riots, war, acts of terrorism, fire, flood, storm or earthquake and any disaster.
6.4 The RCN shall notify registered delegates of any cancellation as soon as possible.
6.5 The event organiser takes no responsibility for non-refundable travel/accommodation in the case of a changed programme or cancelled event.
7. DATA PROTECTION
7.1 We like to keep you informed about similar events, services, campaigns, publications and new initiatives. It is also important for us to find out your views on a range of issues. This may be by post, telephone or electronic messaging.
7.2 You can manage your preferences and update your details via MyRCN.
7.3 All registered delegates can log onto MyRCN viawww.rcn.org.uk/MyRCN.
